Bisate Lodge sits on the slopes of an eroded volcanic cone, looking out across the Bisate Valley and the Virunga volcanoes. The six private villas are immersed in the forest, each with a wood-burning stove and a view that is deeply cinematic.
Your gorilla trek permit is included and arranged by the lodge — groups of eight maximum spend one hour with a specific habituated family. The Rwanda Wildlife Conservation Association ranger guides are exceptional. This is also an easy combination with a Kenyan or Tanzanian safari for a longer East Africa itinerary.
